Life Lately: San Francisco, part 1

I'm back from the city! Or San Francisco, to be more specific. I had a wonderfully busy time attending a national public relations conference and exploring the city. The conference was an amazing experience. We heard from communication professionals like Biz Stone, the co-founder of Twitter, and Tim Westergren, the founder of Pandora radio, along with networking opportunities, workshops, and a few other well-known keynote speakers. Majoring in public relations and journalism, this experience was exactly what I needed to reaffirm the future career I'm pursuing.

Let me tell you a secret: I love big cities. I want to live in an apartment above a little cafe, with one exposed brick wall and a window that overlooks the busy city streets below. Growing up, we lived in the country - no street lights, no cars, and no need to lock your doors at night. Ending up in my dream apartment in my dream city right out of school is obviously a little far-fetched. But San Francisco is definitely on the top of my list of places to live and work after college.

My only regret about the trip was not dedicating more time to sightseeing. We explored Chinatown and had the intention to visit Fishermans Wharf, but the trip was just too busy. And in case you every wondered how the Golden Gate Bridge looked like at 10:30 at night in October, maybe this will give you an idea:

A big thanks to the lovely group of bloggers who guest posted for me while I was gone! I'll finish up my San Francisco recap next week with a "What I Wore" post. And hope to get back to a routine posting schedule too. It feels so wonderful to be back to the blogging community - I missed you guys!
