Guest post: fall wardobe on a budget

Most of you know that I'm in San Fransisco this week on business (and a little fun). And I am exciting to have some of my favorite ladies blogging for me while I am gone! Becky is a fellow fashion-forward college gal from UC San Deigo! Getting dressed on a college budget can be limiting, but Becky is here to show how to do it for autumn without breaking the bank.

Fall weather is here and with it comes many options to layer on pieces when navigating from classes to an internship and finally to a girls’ night out. In this post, all pieces come from budget-friendly retailers that you can shop online. The great thing is that with the convenience of shopping at all hours of the day, you also get to pile on savings with various online promotional codes.

Heading to class

Let’s start with early morning classes. It’s 7am and a bit chilly with the onset of fall, so layer on a scarf as you plan your outfit. Leg hugging color jeans flatter your figure and are super cute to mix and match with a range of tops. When you are running late for your class, simply throw on a pair of jeans, a tee, a comfy knit sweater, and some smart shoes.

Heading to work or an internship

Okay after a long day of classes, the last thing you want to think of is changing into an entire new outfit. So to keep it classy and simple, change into a work top and a jacket perfect for running across town to your internship. Then slip into some sensible office shoes while keeping your jeans and scarf from that morning. Grab your bag and off you go to rock it at that internship.

Heading out for the night

After being a rock star for the day, it’s time for girls’ night out. Again, to keep it simple, we’ll minimize your time changing into an entire new look. So for the night, we’ll modify the top and shoes with a necklace for that extra pop of color. Accessorize it up a bit and off you go with your girls to paint the town or the university red for the night.
