Guest post: fall trends on a budget

Most of you know that I'm in San Fransisco this week on business (and a little fun). And I am exciting to have some of my favorite ladies blogging for me while I am gone! Some of you might remember Mary from Style That Moves the last time she guest blogged. Either way, I love her down-to-earth college style and her ability to tackle trends even while on a budget. Exhibit A:

Hey, Coffee and Cardigan readers. I'm Mary from Style That Moves. I blog about dressing stylishly on a college budget. If you're anything like me you've been hearing a lot about oxblood lately. Despite the name being slightly disturbing, the maroon trend has been cropping up everywhere, especially in the fall collections on the runways. Personally, I love it. I would love to have dresses, shoes, and especially jeans all in the beautiful burgundy color.

Unfortunately, I don't have the money to go out a purchase a new wardrobe every time a new trend comes along. So, like most other college students, I make do with what I have. I looked through my closet and found this scarf that my mom got me from H&M last Christmas. By pairing it with a neutral outfit, the oxblood scarf stands out as the focal point. This way, I get to enjoy the trend without breaking the bank.
