Six Items: getting started

It's the end of the week, but today officially starts my Six Item Challenge. Today was easy: a black skirt, gray tee, and easy accessories? It was a no-brainier for a warm day at the office. But I can already tell how much I'm going to be reliant accessories, jewelry, shoes, bags, and outwear to change up the look of an outfit. And for a gal who doesn't put much thought into those things, I might be facing a whole other challenge.

This darling bracelet came handmade from Castellammare Designs. It's delicate and subtle, but the pretty color added a little something special to my neutrals today. Pieces like this will certainly come in handy over the next few weeks. If you are thinking about accessory shopping, Castellamare Designs is hosting a one-day sale on September 10th. That means a hefty discount some seriously stunning, handmade jewelry. You can check out Castellammare Designs and their beautiful pieces on Etsy. How do you polish off an outfit with jewelry and accessories?

PS: I was guest blogging over at Short Girl, Long Island yesterday for her new series Teach Me Something Thursday. Want to learn how to upcycle an old pair of shorts? Check out my post (and Michele's adorable blog) here. I am also linking up with Two Thirty-Five Designs for Casual Friday.
